Last month Fulaba did its first giveaway offering a free pair of gold dipped Fulani earrings to the best pic representing African queendom. There were a lot of beautiful entries but in the end we had to select Taundra whose look reminded us of warrior African Queen Nzinga of the Ndongo and Matamba kingdoms (present day Angola) who ruthlessly fought off Portuguese colonizers to protect her people in the 17th century. The film, Njinga Rainha de Angola was made about Queen Nzinga in Angola in 2013.
